Handsome Chas is looking for his forever family!

Just look at this gorgeous boy! At nearly 8 years old, Chas the Golden Retriever is hoping his next home will be the one where he can settle down, be loved and enjoy his days surrounded by people.

Chas is a real people dog and absolutely loves attention. Give him a cuddle, a tummy rub and some quality time with you and he’s a very happy boy! He enjoys playing in the garden, going out for walks and, most of all, being part of family life.

Like many dogs, Chas has his quirks and he’ll need the right home. He isn’t always keen on other dogs or foxes, so ideally he would be the only dog in the household. Interestingly, he has spent the last few weeks living with his brother and they have got on really well. He has also lived with a cat.

Chas would suit a loving family home, potentially with older, responsible teenagers, where he can have plenty of attention and someone who is committed to continuing his training.

He is a strong boy on the lead, so his new family will need to be prepared to work with him on his walking. At the moment his walks are on lead only, and his recall will need some attention too. With time, patience and consistency, we’re sure Chas can continue to make progress.

What Chas really wants is quite simple — a family to love, a comfy place to call home and lots of cuddles!
