Judge: Mrs Sue Pounds-Longhurst

Judge's general comments: I was looking for a good interpretation of the subject "Summer Fun", composition, technique and colour usage.

First prize: Meg and Kim - owned by Mr and Mrs Leggatt

Judge's comments: Good composition and interpretation of the subject.
Both Goldens looked as though they were happy and on their summer holidays.

Second prize: Dexter in the Garden - owned by Mr & Mrs Aulton

Judge's comments: Dexter certainly looked as though he was enjoying his day in the garden. The exposure and colours were good. If taken from a less direct angle I think the composition could have been improved. The use of the garden foliage and flowers helped to depict summer.

Joint third prizes:
Buster in the water	Bracken Bannantyne
Judge's comments: Good true colour saturation. Exposure of water excellent. Felt the main subject placed a little too centrally and expression did not capture fun as much as 1st prize.	Judge's comments: Good action shot that could have been a stunner if taken from a side angle and main subject was larger
